DOWNSTAGE CENTER PROGRAM
DownStage Center productions are low-tech, high-quality shows produced in a nurturing and supportive environment. DSC is dedicated to providing a safe space for self-discovery, creativity, and artistic growth in young performers through abridged productions specifically designed for developing voices and emerging skill levels.
To further support the growth of young artists, the DownStage Center program also offers classes, camps, and workshops for school-age students of all experience levels.
MAINSTAGE PROGRAM
MainStage is the jewel of our theatre. The key word for MainStage productions is “professionalism.” Through this program, we produce full-length Broadway musicals with elevated production value and rigorous artistic training. Participating in these productions requires young actors to raise the stakes, take ownership of their work, and commit to a professional level of focus, preparation, and self-sufficiency.
The rewards of working at this level extend far beyond the stage. Students develop confidence, discipline, resilience, collaboration skills, and a deeper understanding of what it means to create meaningful art as part of an ensemble. MainStage challenges performers to support one another, rise to high expectations, and discover what they are capable of when they fully commit to the process.
