Frankie Curry-Edwards

Resident Music Director

Frankie Curry-Edwards is a theatre artist, educator, and community storyteller who believes theatre is at its most powerful when it brings people together. A lifelong Hi-Liner, she is passionate about creating spaces where young artists feel valued not for their proximity to fame, but for their creativity, courage, and humanity. Her work is rooted in the belief that theatre is more than performance — it is a place to imagine better worlds, build community, and practice empathy in real time.

At HMT, Frankie has worked as an actor, director, musical director, choreographer, designer, painter, and teacher, driven by a love for collaborative artmaking and a deep belief in giving back to the organization that shaped her. She earned her degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado, where she appeared in productions including Sunday in the Park with George, Major Barbara, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

After college, Frankie found herself drawn not toward the traditional industry path, but back toward the kind of theatre that first made her fall in love with the art form: joyful, community-centered, and deeply alive. She believes success in theatre is not measured by distance from home or proximity to Broadway, but by the impact art has on the people creating and experiencing it together. She is excited to continue helping shape the future of the Hi-Liners and the artistic community she calls home.
